Area Sales Manager

We are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager, to capture orders and optimize merchandising in assigned stores to increase profitability, achieve targets, and identify growth opportunities. Manage commercial relationships with allocated customer accounts for specific geographical areas.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage client relationships professionally, ensuring high-quality service
  • Research new business opportunities and generate leads
  • Call, visit, and close deals with new and existing customers
  • Capture orders for existing accounts, negotiate better sales, space, and deals
  • Maximize in-store merchandising within allocated space
  • Strive to meet and exceed KPI targets
  • Efficiently process new account setups and communicate issues
  • Provide sales reports with analysis and commentary
  • Monitor competitors and provide relevant commentary
  • Implement efficient route plans to achieve performance targets and manage costs
  • Consult with merchandisers to ensure service delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Seek solutions and ideas to improve processes and products
  • Contribute positively to sales meetings
     

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience, ideally within horticulture or related field
  • Strong knowledge of horticultural products and practices
  • Proven experience of self-management within a field-based sales role
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively within the region
  • Familiarity with seasonal sales cycles would be an advantage
