Field Merchandiser

We are looking for a Temporary Field Based Merchandiser for a six-month period to produce sales by providing point-of-purchase and shelf management services. You will get the right product, in the right place, time, quantity and price. The position is covering West Wales across to Oxford and up to Wolverhampton and you will be based ideally in the Cardiff/Newport area.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Plan and develop merchandising strategies that balance customer expectations and company objectives.
• Analyse sales figures, customers reactions and market trend to anticipate product needs and plan product ranges/stock.
• Maximise customer interest and sales levels by displaying products appropriately.
• Produce layout plans for stores and maintain store shelves and inventory.
• Monitor stock movement and consider markdowns, promotions, price changes, clear out etc.
• Build constructive customer relationships to build pipeline and close deals.
• Remain up to date with industry best practice.

Qualifications

• Proven working experience in merchandising.
• Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engages, inform and motivate.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong listening, presentation and decision-making skills.
• Full clean driving licence, as will need to cover region.
